Welcome to Ibn Arabi Foundation

Ibn Arabi Foundation was founded on 17th of Ramadan, 1428/2007, on the birthday of Shaykh al-Akbar Muhyiddin Muhammad Ibn 'Arabi under the spiritual guidance of Sheikh Rafaqat Hussain Shah.
An important function of the Foundation is to facilitate translation of Ibn ‘Arabi’s works from the original Arabic into contemporary Urdu. We have translated more than 25 Books and Rasā’ils (short treaties) of Shaykh al-Akbar. Three books have been Published and all the remaining translations are in the process of publication.

Authentic Arabic Critical Editions

Work started on publishing of Authentic Arabic Critical editions of the works of Muhyiddīn Ibn ’Arabī with contemporary Urdu translation.

  1. The first book out now is the 101 Hadīth Qudsī (Mishkāt al-Anwār fī mā rowiya min allāh min al-akhbār) in a very elegant contemporary layout. It features full Arabic text, a contemporary Urdu translation, Takhrīj of all possible Ahādith and a commentary upon certain Ahādīth from other works of Ibn Arabī. Read more...
  2. kitāb al-Isfār 'an natā’ij al-asfār, Its Critical edition was prepared by a french Scholar Denis Gril, that edition was based upon eight manucripts. Now in collaboration with 'Anqa Publishing an authortative edition has been produced based upon an autograph manuscript of this work. It would be published soon.
  3. Kitāb al-Hujub whose first Critical edition is complete. We do hope to publish it with its Urdu translation and a detail discription of the concept of veils (hujub) near Ibn 'Arabī.
